Solid Mexican market restaurant option. We first tried to go there on Sunday but didn't realize the restaurant closed an hour before the market. I went back a few days later and ordered some flautas, tacos, and tamales. Tamales had a good bit of meat but were slightly overdone. Tacos were good. Flautas had a lot of toppings. Overall probably the best cheap authentic Mexican for miles.
Great off the beach option for tacos. We stopped her on a whim while driving by and everyone agreed they were the best tacos we had this trip. Prices are reasonable and food is tasty.
Now. I've divided the good and bad into two criticisms. The Good: The food is absolutely wonderful! A real and authentic taste of Mexican culture. I caught myself eating the whole soup bowl! Even the tacos were good! I caught my dad eating more after dinner! The Bad: The restaurant where the food was made was an absolute mess. Puddles of water here and there, there was trash everywhere. As if nobody bothered to take the time to grab a broom and dustpan and sweep up for a few minutes. My suggestion: If you want to have a taste of authentic Mexican food, I suggest ordering your selected foods to-go, eating here wouldn't be ideal since the tables are too close to one another, so you might bump into someone while eating.
Tried this place for lunch. We both had tacos and it was very good! Pastor was excellent, lengua was amazing and asada was good. Fresh salsa bar was really good also. If you haven't tried it you need to!
Legit Carniceria! The only place around with pan dulce and the food is good too! Don't sleep on this spot.
